| When you send a Friend request to a player and it is accepted, that player becomes your Friend. When you become Friends, you can request that Friend's real name, and you can see things like that Friend's PSNSM sign-in status and the game that Friend is playing. Select (Friends) from the function screen.
Sending a Friend request Search for a player to send a Friend request to, with one of the following methods. Search for a player by online ID or real name 1.Select (Search). 2.Enter the player's online ID or real name. 3.From the search results, select the player to send a Friend request to. 4.Select [Send Friend Request] from the profile screen. Search among fellow players 1.Select (Players Met). Fellow players appear, grouped by game or application. 2.Select the player you want to send a Friend request to. 3.Select [Send Friend Request] from the profile screen. When (Settings) > [PSNSM] > [Privacy Settings] > [Connecting with Friends] > [Players You May Know] is enabled, names of players you may know will appear in the Friends lists of other players and you can find fellow players more easily. Cancelling a Friend request 1.Select (Friend Requests).2.Highlight the player whose Friend request you want to cancel, press the OPTIONS button, and then select [Cancel Friend Request]. Accepting a Friend request 1.Select (Friend Requests). 2.Select [Accept]to the right of the player whose Friend request you want to accept. If you select the player, that player's profile is displayed. - To reject a Friend request, highlight the player, press the OPTIONS button, and then select [Delete Friend Request].
- You can set the players from whom you receive Friend requests. You can also set not to display your real name in other players' search
results. For details, see "Privacy Settings". - You can report inappropriate comments. On the player's profile screen, select [View Friend Request], press the OPTIONS button, and then
select [Submit Grief Report]. Requesting a Friend's real name If you send a real name request and your Friend accepts it, the real name registered to that person's Sony Entertainment Network account appears. Your real name is also displayed to that person. - If you have set a profile picture, it is also displayed.
- Real name requests cannot be sent or received by players with sub accounts.
- You can set who can see your real name and profile picture under (Settings) > [PSNSM] > [Privacy Settings].

| Viewing your profile Select [Profile]from the function screen.
Editing your profile Select [Edit Profile]. You can change your real name, profile picture, and avatar, and adjust other settings.
Adjusting privacy settings Select [Privacy Settings]. You can set who can see your activities and trophies. If you have never signed in to PSNSM, you can edit your username registered on the PS4™ system.
